Just a short little rant...

Not every person in the south that carries a gun is a good for nothing redneck! People and their damned stereotypes! I am from the south (Georgia to be exact), I live in the country, I carry a gun and am very pro-gun. But I am also considered intelligent (when I am not being a complete ditz and making stupid mistakes... lol) The south is not full of stupid rednecks. It is not like Deliverance, people (Actually I have never seen the movie but I have heard about it). We are not full of racist bigots. And we are not all over-zealous religious fanatics. So stop with all the freaking downgrading and thinking we are all a bunch of idiots! I am proud to be from the South. We have good food, most of the time nice people, warm weather (no snow), and a lot to be thankful for. We have beautiful countryside, beautiful Manor houses, a rich history (good and bad), and we are very family oriented. There is nothing wrong with being from the south. Now if you people that are stereotyping would understand this then all would be gravy. In the same respect if you are not from a particular part of the country don't stereotype anyone. You wouldn't like it if someone stereotyped you based on where you are from. You know what? Thumper said it best. "If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all." I know I can do the same thing and I am trying. I just expect the same of everyone else. But then I could be asking too much of people. I just think the world would be a better place if we could all set aside our differences and get along.
