Shortcuts don't work in the long run...

Well the wall and the drywall are both up in the room we are adding to Brian's mom's house (where the carport used to be). Today Brian and I were out there trying to paint the ceiling with ceiling paint and that stone stuff that adds texture to the paint. We hadn't been painting for more than 5 minutes when we noticed that the paint that was there previously was peeling off and it was peeling off something terrible. It was like someone painted something plastic with a latex-based paint. Now not only do we still have to paint the ceiling, but we also have to strip the ceiling now. By that I mean we are going to have to go back through and sand the entire ceiling down and get it as smooth as a baby's bottom before we paint it again. What irks me the most about it is that Brian is utterly pissed and when he is like this he is in a down mood for the rest of the night and doesn't joke or even really speak to anyone. I hate it when he is in that type of mood.
